Agriculture and Farmers

We know who are farmers and what is agriculture, farming, ploughing etc, but Are we giving importance to farmers? Do we know the value of food grains?

We know that the agriculture is a backbone of our India, but do we know how the farmers are living? What they are getting? Are we supporting to farmers?

Farmers never expect anything from us. They just want to provide food to India and they love to serve people. Without farmers, without agriculture, we are nothing…

As the technology is improving day-by-day, the way of farming is changing, implementing new machinery and tools in the agriculture. Very rarely, we are seeing the traditional agriculture in the farm lands.

Are we benefitting from plastic food? Is that good for our health? Why we are ignoring the real and healthy food which is grown on agriculture lands? Is that because of price/cost, taste, etc?

Do we know, what is the ratio of agriculture in India when comparing to other countries?

As per the reports on 2014 - The number of cultivators and agricultural labourers, it would be around 263 million or 22% of the population (1.2 billion).

Source - https://stirringthepyramid.wordpress.com/2014/08/12/how-many-farmers-does-india-have-or-what-percent/

Why is this only 22%, because farmers are coming out from agriculture to earn some amount by doing some labour works in cities. What if this percentage decreases to 10 to 15%? Is that percentage of agriculture enough to Indian population? If there is no agriculture, what we are going to eat? Plastic food? Food which is prepared by machines?

1)     There are many reasons:

2)     Government is not taking proper steps to encourage the farmers.

3)     Farmers are not getting the hygienic and organic seeds for cultivation.

4)     There is no direct selling from farmers to customers.

5)     Middle men are making profits from both traders and farmers.

6)     Not getting supportive price/cost for the cultivated crops.

If the crop is lost, who is taking care of that crop? Government or middle man or buyer? No one, Right! Farmer’s suicide is very common thing in our India. Daily, we are watching news about this. Are we feeling regret? What are we doing for a farmer? What’s happening to the agricultural lands? Is this the thing called development by destroying agricultural lands and constructing the buildings, villas etc?

Activists and scholars have offered a number of conflicting reasons for farmer suicides, such as anti farmer laws, high debt burdens, poor government policies, corruption in subsidies, crop failure, mental health, personal issues and family problems. The farmer's suicide rate in India had ranged between 1.4 and 1.8 per 100,000 total population, the figures in 2017 and 2018 showed an average of more than 10 suicides daily.

Famers, they are innocent, I hope we are all watching the news that they are throwing vegetables on roads because they are not getting proper supportive prices/cost on the crop. Are they losing? No. not at all, we are all losing, If we are not getting the veggies, what we eat? Instead, they can sell in the market directly, but they are trying to protest, in some cases, middle men will not allow the farmers to sell in the market. If employees are protesting, they do pen-down, stop their works in the offices, the same applies here. They are not stopping the agriculture and not hurting us, they are hurting themselves. They already know that, they will not get anything but still they are doing that.

We will not care about the food and we will through it out like a waste.. There are few Non-Profit organizations which are taking care about this waste food, whenever we have the functions in our home or area, just try to contact them to save the balanced food and donate the food for the poor.

As per the reports: - https://borgenproject.org/top-10-facts-about-hunger-in-india/

One-third of food gets lost or wasted.

3,000 children die every day from hunger.

India is not poor, yet hunger remains an issue.

Culture means cultivate, the way we cultivate our thoughts in our mind, the same we will be to our nation, if our thoughts are hygiene, we are good to the nation. Just like the hygienic foods are good to our health.  AGREE?

Help Farmers, Support Farmers, Support Agriculture, Have hygienic food, Don’t spoil your health.

Happy cultivation..

Jai Farmers

Jai Agriculture

Family

Family is not easy to maintain, it needs affection, love, relation, emotion, values, etc. Every house has the family indeed, we should take care of our family with all the responsibilities with all the respect. Family is not only parents and children, also cousins, in-laws, friends etc. Try to mingle the friends with the family and treat them like a family, they will be overwhelmed with the respect and value which we give them, and they will include with our family and treat us back like a family with the respect and value. Spend time with the family, we should learn balancing life between our personal and professional, give time to our members, go out, have fun, entertain them, love them. India is a democratic, secular, developing and dependable country

Yes, you heard right!! India is still a developing country since from Independence till today and it will be a developing country but not as developed country, India stands no-where out of 100 developed countries in the world. And yes, India is a dependable country too, it depends on other nations to grow its national income, India has to strive to stand for itself and has to take critical decisions too. India is welcoming investments from other countries but has no proper investments made for itself. Because the so-called governments are not ruling very well, they work for money to live their life better and from where did they get this money? Yes, from bribes, taxes, etc… Of course, every individual work for money but the political leaders must work for nation and strive towards the national developments.
